Video: Lockdown Panic Systems
Lockdowns have been proven to save lives. But getting the word out to each and every person in a large school building can be a huge challenge. While PA systems can be used effectively, they can also be rendered useless if the person identifying the threat is not in a location where they have access to the system.
Recognizing the critical need for an effective notification system that can be accessed throughout the building, school districts have begun to install what are commonly know as lockdown panic systems. CBS 2 News here in New York recently produced a story about a Long Island School that has taken the proactive steps in installing a Lockdown Panic System.
The system was installed by Long Island technology vendor Intralogic Solutions, who we have worked with in other school districts. The school administrators of these districts and our consulting team were impressed with their work.
Video: Raptor Visitor Management System
The Raptor System provides a means to help schools and community facilities keep unwanted visitors out while tracking those they allow in. The system scans a visitor’s Driver’s License or other state issued ID and then screens for registered sex offenders in all 50 states and can also screen for individuals with restraining orders, custody issues, suspended or expelled students, known gang members, or for any custom alert.
When a visitor is cleared, the Raptor System prints a badge featuring the visitor’s name, photo, date and time, and destination. If a potential threat is identified, the Raptor System sends instant alerts to designated officials, including administrators and law enforcement, via email and/or text messaging. The Raptor System can also be used to track and report faculty and volunteer hours as well as student tardies and early sign-outs.
